Czech Leadership Seminars Produced
Our first project was recording a series of broadcast quality leadership seminars in the Czech language. We had Pastor Lubo Hlavacka from Czech Republic with us in our TV studio to provide live translation of our leadership sessions. Over the week we were able to record a significant number of sessions covering topics such as Vision, Keys to a Healthy Church, Relational Leadership, Balancing Ministry and Family Life, Building Ministry Teams and Managing the Change Process.

The next stage was post production, editing, adding graphics and text to the various leadership recordings. Then the sessions were mastered enabling us to begin the duplication process where the material were produced as DVD's, Video Tapes and Audio CD's. Through the ministry of Wordleader and our supporting churches we were be able to provide these vital resources to pastors, church planters and emerging leaders throughout the Czech nation, all in their own language!

Since the fall of communism, the Czech Church has struggled to establish a presence and influence in Czech society. Sadly today, in a nation with a population of over 10 million, there are only 270 evangelical churches. (compare this to the fact there are over 1600 public libraries in the nation). The total number of evangelical believers are estimated to be less than 20,000. Less than a a quarter of a percent of the population are born again.

The challenge is to equip and empower pastors and emerging leaders so the church can exercise it's calling to influence and win the society for Christ. As Pastor Lubo Hlavacka told us "the next five years are vital for the church and it's leadership". What happens over next few years to influence the church may well determine it's effectiveness for the next 50 years"!

The leadership seminars we have produced and sponsored have been made available to every evangelical church in the Czech Republic. We know they will prove to be an awesome resource and play a key role in leadership development in the nation. The seminars were presented by Pastor Martin Steel, Pastor Andrew Evans (former leader of the Assemblies of God in Australia and now a senator in the State government of South Australia), Pastor Ashley Evans (Senior Pastor of Paradise Community Church). Pastor Lubo Hlavacka also presented some of his own teaching sessions recorded purely in the Czech language.

Future Projects
Our second national project was a series of recordings for the Slovak Republic. The series featured a number of topics focussing on church planting, womens ministries issues and youth ministry. The church in Slovakia is presently positioning itself for a major thrust in church planting using many young and emerging leaders. We know the resources produced at Wordleader will be a powerful tool to multiply the leaders effectiveness. In November 2007 we also developed a series of leadership training resources in Bulgarian.
